If you want to send a direct message, you need to have made at least 15 posts. Until you have reached 15 posts, you will not see the option to start a new direct message.
Please don't make short, low-quality posts simply to increase your post count; otherwise, you'll likely receive a warning for post-count inflation.
When you have the necessary permissions to start a new direct message, a red button with the words "Send direct message" will appear at the top of your inbox. This button allows you to send a message to another member.
You will also see the option to 'Send direct message' in the pop-up window when you click on another user's name.
Do not send direct messages that breach our terms and rules, such as those that promote your site or services. You may receive a warning and ultimately, a permanent ban from the forum.
