WTB, HAF, WTF? Acronyms and jargon, busted

As with any community, there are some acronyms and lingo that get used a lot around here, and when you’re new, it might as well be a different language. So, here are the most common ones, explained. If you’ve used forums before, or are an old hand in the IM industry, some of these will be familiar. But for those who are entirely new, it’s handy to know what they all mean.

EPC: Earnings Per Click

FM: Flow Metrics

ORM: Online Reputation Management

PA: Page Authority

PBN: Private Blog Network

PPC: Pay Per Click

PPI: Pay Per Install

PV: Phone Verified

PVA: Phone Verified

RD: Referring Domain

REQ: Required

SEO: Search Engine Optimisation

SERP: Search Engine Results Page

SMM: Social Media Marketing

TAT: Turnaround Time

Jargon

Conversation: This is what we call private messages. So if you want to send a PM, you need to start a conversation.

Marketplace thread: For $30 you can create a thread to sell your service.

Mod: short for moderator - the volunteers and staff who keep BHW in line.
