Before you post a thread, it's important to ensure you're posting it in the right section. Not only does posting in the right section keep the forum organised, but it means that you'll be more likely to receive a response to your thread from members who are interested in the same topic.
In order to view the full list of forums on Black Hat World, go to the "Main Forum List" link on the navigation bar to the left (or you can use this link, especially if you're on mobile).
Now, the subforums in that list are pretty self-explanatory and have their own descriptions on the Main Forum List page, but I will go over some common mistakes members make when posting their threads.
- Off-topic posts: If it's not related to internet marketing or making money, your thread should go in the lounge. If you can't find an appropriate subforum for your IM or making money thread, it's better to post in the making money section. Do not post in the lounge just because it's a high traffic area; your thread will be moved.
- Link Building: If you want to discuss link building, do not post the thread in the black hat SEO or white hat SEO subforums. Instead, post the thread in the link building section.
- YouTube: If you want to discuss YouTube, don't post it in the general social media subforum. Because it's not currently in the list of social media subforums on BHW, some members miss this, but there's a YouTube subforum here.
- Video Editing: If you want to discuss video editing that's not related to YouTube, use the video production subforum.
- Bots, Tools, and Software: If you want to discuss tools and bots, use the Black Hat SEO Tools subforum.
I may go over more of the subforums in detail later on, but I put the basic ideas below.
