What Section Should I Create My Thread In?

Modified on Tue, 3 Jun at 10:45 AM

Before you post a thread, it's important to ensure you're posting it in the right section. Not only does posting in the right section keep the forum organised, but it means that you'll be more likely to receive a response to your thread from members who are interested in the same topic.

To view the full list of forums on BlackHat World, go to the "Main Forum List" link on the navigation bar to the left (or you can use this link, especially if you're on mobile).

The subforums in that list are pretty self-explanatory and have their own descriptions on the Main Forum List page, but here are some common mistakes members make when posting their threads.

  • Off-topic posts: If it's not related to internet marketing or making money, your thread should go in the lounge. If you can't find an appropriate subforum for your IM or making money thread, it's better to post in the making money section. Do not post in the lounge just because it's a high-traffic area; your thread will be moved, and you may receive a warning.
  • Link Building: If you want to discuss link building, do not post the thread in the black hat SEO or white hat SEO subforums. Instead, post the thread in the link building section.
  • Video Editing: Use the video production subforum to discuss video editing that is not related to YouTube.
  • Bots, Tools, and Software: The Black Hat SEO Tools subforum is for discussing tools and bots.
