Posting replies that only read 'Thanks' or 'That was useful' are against the forum rules; mainly because they don't do anything but raise your post count.
At BHW the posts are ideally informative or of some value to the reader, so to avoid spamming there is a 'thanks button' under the post to show your appreciation.
